Atul Verma Himachal DGP: हिमाचल पुलिस के नए मुखिया का ऐलान हो गया है। 1991 बैच के IPS अधिकारी डॉ. अतुल वर्मा हिमाचल पुलिस के नए पुलिस महानिदेशक यानि DGP नियुक्त किए गए हैं। वर्तमान हिमाचल डीजीपी संजय कुंडू की रिटायरमेंट के बाद डॉ. अतुल वर्मा की डीजीपी पद पर नियुक्ति हुई है।
डॉ. अतुल वर्मा की डीजीपी पद पर नियुक्ति से पहले निर्वाचन आयोग की मंजूरी ली गई है। इसके बाद हिमाचल सरकार के मुख्य सचिव प्रबोध सक्सेना ने अतुल वर्मा को डीजीपी की कमान सौंपने का आदेश जारी किया है।

दो महीने पहले केंद्र से वापस लौटे
बताया जाता है कि, डॉ. अतुल वर्मा मूल रूप से झारखंड के रहने वाले हैं। वर्मा की गिनती तेज तर्रार और कुशल अफसरों में होती है। वह दो महीने पहले ही केंद्रीय डेपुटेशन से वापस हिमाचल अपने कैडर लौटे हैं। वर्मा वर्तमान में हिमाचल सीआईडी के डीजी का कार्यभार संभाल रहे थे। वह मई 2025 में रिटायर होंगे।
